Since 2017 we’ve activated nearly a mile of the most iconic stretch in Philadelphia each summer as part of the city’s initiative to “put more park on the Parkway.” Our role has been to install, design, and develop new concepts for this summer-long place-making installation. 

In collaboration with Fairmount Park Conservancy, Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation and the Knight Foundation, FKB has created this publicly accessible space for visitors to enjoy family-friendly activities and programming for four months each summer. However, due to COVID-19, the program was suspended temporarily in 2020 with hopes for it to return in 2021.
