This collaborative art piece from B Fabrications was made in 2016 under the artistic direction of Jordan Griska. Known as Wreck, this S-Class Mercedes replica was created to “increase awareness of objects’ pasts and symbolic qualities as they relate to American identity in order to invite viewers to imagine alternative futures,” according to Griska’s Artist’s Statement.

Parametrically modeled and put through a crash test simulation, Wrecked was constructed with 12,000 laser-cut pieces of mirrored stainless steel. FKB designed, modeled, created the molds, fabricated the pieces, and assisted with the final assembly of the piece at the historic Municipal Pier 9 in Philadelphia.
